Our new intern Zoe is all about summer scarves and here’s why:
Scarves add color and texture to any outfit. In the winter, they’re functional and incredibly popular, maintaining their role as one of the winter accessories. But that doesn’t mean scarves should be abandoned during the hotter months. A scarf can be that extra layer for when you enter a cool, air-conditioned building or for those chilly nights. By draping the scarf around your neck in different ways, you can adopt different looks and functions. To create your own infinity scarf, tie the two ends together and loop the circle around your neck two times to insulate your neck and show off your top beneath it. For a nighttime walk on the beach, open the scarf to widen it and drape it over your shoulders to cover them for a casual, relaxed look. If you don’t believe us that scarves should be a yearlong accessory, just ask Jessica Alba, Hilary Duff, Charlize Theron, and Rachel Bilson!
